Happy scare-a-days! Copperhead County is celebrating the next week with the Happy Hell-o-ween Reverse Sale, in which the game is a frighteningly fair 13% more expensive than normal.

Why? Because you know what's truly terrifying—an eerie TRPG marketplace populated by underpriced indie games and dominated by sinister corporations, ravenous tech platforms, and rent-seeking retailers, where nobody sells anything except through selling their souls to the infernal engine. 

Luckily for us, though, we're here on itch.io, where we have a chance to do something different. Let's try it!

What's going on over in Copperhead County? For a few reasons, I've been working on a big graphics revamp for the book, which carries over into the playbooks and other sheets. I'm also taking this opportunity to make some other adjustments to the sheets for improved geometry and layout. I'm almost done with those and will throw up an update when they are ready.

This also means that the book will feature more art, in fact 100% art—the photos currently in the EA PDF are being eliminated, and CC interior artist Adam Schwaninger will be creating lots of new stuff, including all-new full-page illustrations. (Hey, speaking of Adam, while you're on itch.io you should go buy his excellent RPG of interstellar travel and space madness, Insomniacs.)

Meanwhile, CC contributor Michael Crowley just completed a big edit of lots of gameplay text for you to enjoy in the future. More writing and an ungodly amount of editing await! (Hey, speaking of Michael, while you're on itch.io you should go download for free his Blades in the Dark supplement, Citizens, offering a new crew type and new CC-influenced mechanics to play the game as regular folks and local revolutionaries.)
